Personal

I live in a place called Watchers Keep, on the lands of SENĆOŦEN-speaking people, on Salt Spring Island.

My partner Corvi Zeman lives there, too. He is responsible for all of the best things in my life, and is a talented artist working in many media, as well as being a keen naturalist, a brilliant software developer, and a passionate science communicator.

Since 2010, we have kept livestock and engaged in other agricultural misadventures together, and call our efforts along those lines Lazy Evaluation Ranch, because we are both colossal dorks.

In 2007, as Team ʻAlala, we participated in the Mongol Rally, driving from London to Mongolia, in a Daihatsu HiJet called Kokua. Not a day goes by where we don't think about something from that experience.
